Wireless Laptop Computers

I dont have wireless. Can I connect two laptops with a USB connection cable?

I need to know which cable to use so I can transfer Laptop Data from one to another. I dont have wireless laptops, but both have USB ports and Ethernet ports, and run on XP. I would like my drag and drop files from one computer to another. Thank you.

You can use a crossover network cable or the transfer of files via a USB stick. Or you can use a router To use them to connect over the network as well. There are altogether USB cable manufacturer with the ability to connect to computers, but require special software. I have in the past as a Dell support representative, so they do not exist simply to know where you get used to it. You can also via serial or parallel connection the same way. But the pulls back to using USB-serial or parallel velocity. Serial and parrellel transfer to less than a MB and USB is currently max is 2 MB. Network is still as fastest way to go hope this helps
